The people behind Land4
Land Software A/S was founded by Hans Kragh and Søren Ross Sørensen.
Hans Kragh, born 1969, gained his MSc in Landscape Architecture in 1999. Apart from his association with Land Software A/S, Hans is the co-owner of a (private) landscape architect company.
Søren Ross Sørensen, born 1971, gained his MSc in Landscape Architecture in 2002. Today, Søren is Managing Director of Land Software A/S

All products supplied by Land Software to advisers and professionals in site planning, be they software, courses or other consultancy services, are developed by professionals for professionals. Maintaining close contact with end users is another important aspect of our core values – our developers are never more than a phone call or an email away. And, as a matter of course, we believe that all Land Software products should create added value for our customers.
History
In 1995, Hans Kragh produced his first programming for AutoCAD®which later became the starting point for LAND4. After he joined forces with Søren Ross Sørensen, their partnership – Land I/S – was established in 1996.
SFor both founders, software development was at this stage a combination of a sideline job and a hobby which had to be confined to evenings and weekends, as weekdays were initially taken up with studies in landscape architecture, followed by work as landscape architects in a number of drawing offices. The LAND2 application was launched in 1996 in co-operation with ABB (since renamed BIPS) and Point. Its successor, LAND3, was released in 1998, and the collaboration with Point came to an end.
2002 saw the unveiling of the current version, with LAND 4.01 being well-received among landscape architects working in site planning. Continuous development took place over the next few years and, with the company making ever more demands on his time, in 2005 Søren Ross Sørensen decided to give up his day job as a landscape architect and start working full-time for Land. The following year, Land I/S became Land Software A/S.
